The Abu Dhabi Development Fund launches a drinking‑water project in Kiffa, Mauritania. The fund is financing a $300 million initiative aimed at supplying clean water to the region.
The project will build production and treatment facilities capable of 50,000 cubic metres per day, and a network of more than 780 km of pipelines to serve towns and villages along the route.
Deputy Director‑General Mohammed Saif Al‑Swidi said the project is a strategic step toward addressing water scarcity and supporting sustainable growth in Mauritania.
